Organized in 1958, MAS is an organization of amateur and professional archaeologists as well as educators interested in the profession. Membership in the Montana Archaeological Society includes a biannual publication, Archaeology in Montana, which publishes the results of archaeological research in Montana. The publication serves as a bridge between interested amateurs with professional values towards archaeology. Annual membership dues of $18.00 (individual & institution), $10.00 (student), and $25.00 (family) can be sent to the Secretary-Treasurer, Lynelle Peterson, 4140 King Ave. E, Billings, MT 59101.
